Extremely Messy Setup, Lovely End Result

I love this tree! However, be prepared to have glitter and chunks of white flocking all over your hands, clothes, and the area in which you open the box and set up the tree. Have your vacuum and lint roller handy!
-Mine lit right up straight out of the box without issue. I turned off the light in my bedroom and felt a warm rush of Christmas nostalgia when I plugged the tree in. The lights are soft and gorgeous. The tree looks stunning whilst plugged in (adorably so, the 4' is tiny).
-The cord is very short. You may need an extension cord.
-It does have a slight smell to it, I imagine because of the 'snow' flocking. It isn't incredibly offensive, and I have a very sensitive nose.
-I think it would be nice to have this tree in multiple sizes and create a little Christmas tree forest of sorts. However, for someone living in the city the 4' is the perfect no-hassle size. It's all I need :)
