My dream tree!

I was looking for a realistic tree with multi-colored (not LED) lights. This tree is gorgeous! It has more lights than most (750) and no white lights on the tree (which is what I wanted). The color of the lights is like I remember growing up. I am not a fan of the LED colored lights. The needles look real and it is a full tree. It opens so nicely and is very easy to assemble and to shape. I am in LOVE with this tree! I hope to have it for MANY years. The only down side was that when it was delivered the box was torn and damaged severely and I was SO worried that the tree would be damaged. I was fortunate that it was OK. I feel that it probably did not come from the warehouse this way but was the fault of UPS. That is my only complaint. I saw this same tree elsewhere (at a garden center) for $220 MORE. This is a great price! If you order this tree, you will be happy!

Totally satisfied!

I set this tree up after Thanksgiving 2012. It is quite heavy but well constructed, and most importantly truly does look like a 'real' tree. I bought the hinged version, in which the main branches are metal and fold up for storage and pull back down on hinges for set-up. It is very well lit with more than enough lights too. It did take quite a bit of time to spread out the individual branches and separate the ends but it is well worth the time. I'll certainly have this tree for many years to come. I would definitely buy this item again, although it is a bit pricey, when you look at the lifetime of the tree it will pay for itself over the long haul from buying a real tree or the cheaper imitations that you'll replace in a couple of years. If you're interested in this tree, do buy it and you won't be disappointed.

What you see is not what you get

What you see is not what you get. Received in two days as promised. Put it up the same day and immediately thought I was shipped the wrong tree. Called National Tree and was told that yes, we did receive the right tree. Went back through the instructions, and the video on-line at

at their suggestion to learn how to shape the tree. The tree used in their video, or the one seen on Amazon, would be great. And that's what I thought I was getting. My tree did not have near the density or fullness of the trees shown. Calling customer service at National Tree Company again, I was told to go back and work on shaping the tree. So we did. Three of us. All evening. The trunk of the tree is still clearly visible. You can see clear through the tree in several areas. Another call to National Tree, and we sent them a picture. Now they suggest we turn the tree so that the bare areas are not in the front and so visible. I ask to speak to a manager. They say they will talk to the manager. They put me on hold and then I'm disconnected. I call back and they can't find the person who I was talking to, so I get to go through everything with a new person. This person explains that the picture on Amazon and on their web site are staged by professionals who use "filler" to make the tree look as good as possible. "Like McDonalds", she says. "Have you ever gotten a hamburger that looks like the one pictured on the wall?" I again ask to speak to a manager. She says she'll transfer me. I'm disconnected. Get the picture?
